Unemployment Extended benefits Expire April 5 Without Senate Vote

The Senate will be voting on yet another short term extension of
unemployment benefits this week. The vote has been delayed because
voting on healthcare reconciliation amendments is taking place first.
Majority Leader Harry Reid is looking for unanimous consent to pass
the bill even though this will give controversial Senator Jim Bunning
one more chance to block unemployment extension efforts. If the
extension doesn't pass, there won't be enough time to resolve the
issues and disagreements before the coming Senate recess. This would
cause the extension to expire in its current state on April 5th.
